HD2 Fan Concept - Automaton Deadshot
A design for a potential new Automaton unit that would act as a very low armor ambush unit capable of sniping players from further distances than normal automatons. Implied to be a basic trooper model that receives an update upon successfuly terminating a Helldiver (against all odds) being retooled into an elite version of itself with equipment specific to continue hunting the best soldiers humanity can field. Much of the design used the existing Automaton Trooper as a base. my process involved iterating upon how it would wield a weapon, and what the upgrades would look like. I settled for antennae and larger sensors to make it seem more capable of tracking and detecting players (it would act much like a STALKER / GUNSHIP unit, which passively and automatically detects and engages players within 170 meters) while the cape would not only alter its silhouette dramatically, but also be a nod to it killing helldivers specifically (it is indeed a Foesmasher cape, the default offered to freshly graduated Helldivers.)
