Don't worry guy, I'm not giving up. You're absolutely right, there's no option but to fight climate change. Despite the overwhelming odds.

Trump may not believe in climate change but his policies - no immigration, seizing mineral resources (#Venezuela, #Greenland etc in future) - are simply stage 1 of the political chaos that inevitably ensues from #climatemeltdown. This is just the beginning, folks. Been nice knowing you.

Congratulations on your first class honours. We were all very surprised.

Small? Not sure about that. He used to stay with one of my flatmates in the 1970s, and sometimes did his laundry in our sink. His underpants drying on the line were - GINORMOUS.

Politicians say "it's the right thing to do" when they know a policy is immoral.

Classic example of someone (a "comedian" apparently) seeking g attention by trying to be clever by insinuating nastiness, but passive-aggressively denying it too, and then saying he doesn't even care about the "issue" he has raised.

And our senior politicians of all sides should be noisily rushing to protect it. So far we've only heard #Gove, of all people, a Trump-Murdoch arse-licker. Is there noone more reputable who cares about our BBC?
November 13, 2025 at 5:27 PM
Spot on. It's astonishingly depressing how few apparently intelligent people can see the wood from the trees here.
November 11, 2025 at 10:30 PM
Yes, and EVERYONE should be coming to the BBC's defence, whatever mistakes they've made. Right now, the loudest voice among politicians is - incredibly - Michael #Gove. The rest need to stop playing politics and get down to the barricades.

But, why do 200 people seriously think they should stand for the council? Who are they all? It makes for a mad election. If it wasn't for the slate system, the election would be a total lottery.

Today I heard the first Jingle Bells and saw the first hot cross bun of the season. And the shops are already full of next years pumpkins. Please make it stop.

Not only did the rot start in 2007, it is not a parochial British problem but rather one that afflicts many western countries (France, Germany, USA). We won't sort it out in the UK by banging on about Brexit. Truss and Johnson (or even Starmer). They are symptoms not causes.
