Came to avoid shingles. Staying to avoid/defer dementia. Helluva deal.

That was a totally different situation, but the answer to your question is before.

Record stores were this too in the LP/CD/cassette times. Sigh. Hold on bookstores. You’re our only hope now
November 30, 2025 at 1:18 AM
I’m okay with that.

That’s fair. I’m mad at PMMC about this issue, but I voted for him in the leadership content and for his local candidate in the election. Next up: he’s looking pretty naive and ignorant on his approach to Indigenous consultation re opening Hecate Strait to tanker traffic.

Thank you

Still a bike, but heavy. Kudos on your trip completion.

This is a new term to me. Is it about making a piece of art every day from December 1-24? Are they then given away? Displayed? Set free? Sacrificed?

Those are all sincere questions. I am fascinated by the possibilities, so thank you for mentioning this.

There’s a lot of detail and complication to consultations toward reconciliation, but point one is you don’t come charging in with a rigid and pre-determined schedule. Point two is you don’t start with snide, smarmy wisecracks about how First Nations’ leaders can meet your arbitrary dates.

East of the Lakehead if you ask me.

I suspect that Mark Carney think he is too. I do not. I think he’s trying to placate a face-eating leopard because he thinks it will never try to eat his smiling face.
November 29, 2025 at 3:14 AM
I will hope you are right, but i remain sceptical.
November 28, 2025 at 2:17 AM
WTF?
November 28, 2025 at 1:56 AM
That hasn’t been the Conservatives’ history.
November 28, 2025 at 1:53 AM
I think that Kennedy was bait, and Smith is only switch. That strikes me as a lot like Carney walking away from the entire PMJT legacy.

What is the status of the LPC(A), Max? How many Liberal constituency associations are there in Alberta upheld ridings, Max? How are donation rates of Liberals in Alberta holding up, Max?

There’s more to being good at politics than flim-flamming a provincial premier.
November 28, 2025 at 1:35 AM
I’ve been a liberal all my life, and a card-carrying, door-knocking, monthly-check-off-donating Liberal since before Mark Carney was a banker. IMO, this move is at best slimy but likely cowardly. Even if Max is right, screw Carney; screw Smith; let them feed each other cake. I stand with Guilbeault
November 28, 2025 at 1:10 AM
Attago (former) Minister Guilbeault. I share your pride in the accomplishments of the last ten years, and I thank you for standing up for your beliefs at this critical time.

And thank you Ms. Gilmore for amplifying the ex-Minister’s reach in this way.

Let me add to the number of Liberals outraged that my party has been usurped like this. He later lost the plot, but Trudeau’s purchase was SPECIFICALLY intended to provide employment during transition to a post-extraction economy in Alberta. This is just kowtowing to the Premier.

fuck ma’am

Not quite sad hat I missed it all for my daughter’s birthday dinner. She’ll never be 50 again, but the Oilers could score 6 goals in one game again within 50 years.

No don’t. We need this kind of humour in a world with Ostrich Parades.
