On climate, did you know that only 11% of people in the US (and even smaller percentages in Canada, the UK, Australia and beyond) are dismissive?

Yet because their voices are so loud and persistent, people often think they’re 50%.

This is why I advocate so strongly for using YOUR voice!

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

Important to know as there have been reports of ICE agents outside of hospitals
Just some casual Thursday night reading on the rights and responsibilities of HCW confronted by #ICE agents.

TLDR: Do not give any information about any patient to anyone without a warrant or court order.

The price of eggs in the US is spiking, mostly due to #H5N1 bird flu. Solving the problem requires urgent, important communications from the CDC & FDA* and rapid development of research by the NIH**

* Currently paused by Executive Order
** Grant reviews now all canceled

Egg prices are soaring again. Here’s why and what to expect
Bird flu has killed millions of hens in recent weeks, shrinking the supply of eggs and hiking up prices at grocery stores.

I’m a scientist who studies how climate change impacts our lives and the places we love.

Most of us are worried, but many feel stuck on what to do. If that's the way you feel, check out this list below!

We can’t fix it alone, but I know we can together. 💚

Just finished "The Anthropocene Reviewed" by @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social and it is exquisite. Touching and humorous, packed with an encyclopedia's worth of information on how humanity has affected each other and the world it inhabits. It is a great read or listen. 1/2

Yesterday was devastating with the swath of executive orders that were signed. Today likely will be the same. Trying to focus on small actions for today:
1. Nurture community
2. Find ways to continue to engage with those not of my viewpoints
3. Remove personal spending to oligarchs

Again, the World Health Organization is the single most important global entity in preventing, tracking and controlling outbreaks, epidemics and pandemics and is especially important as climate change and deforestation allow pathogens to mutate, become more infectious and spread to new regions
