Mexico has no electronic voting machines, but people here arguing for election security advocate for them. Why? Because I could describe dozens of ways in which our paper ballots get manipulated.

If you are comfortable "pretending" sociopathy for your job, I'm not entirely sure it's pretending at all.

So she literally dived into Discord to find evidence of left wing radicalized content, found nothing, and so diverted her article to talk about neurodivergent people and hearsay. It's amazing how she'll do anything but talk to her sons about the media they are consuming and try to understand it.

Happened to me also. I'm alternating between Silksong and Hades 2. I'm not a masochist, I swear, they just came out too close to each other.

Pete burned all the political goodwill he had earned when he didn't forcefully denounce the horrors of what Israel is going. Until he does so, all his calls to action ring hollow, and even afterwards they'll sound opportunistic. He killed his political career.

Well, he keeps giving them an ample amount of opportunities to short stocks, and I bet the distribution of insider trading info is like a busy switchboard now.

The current party in Mexico's power just destroyed millions of trees and ran a hideous scar of a train right through virgin jungle, are actively blocked fauna from crossing, or killing jaguars outright as to not inconvenience operations. This means nothing.

But isn't Mississauga inland? I don't think they're expecting hurricanes there.

I was on hold when I was watching this video, with some electro dance music playing while I wait. It fits sooooo well.

It has happened to me a few times, in different cities and different countries. It doesn't cease to surprise me, especially if one makes a reservation way ahead of time.

He's already targeting measles, polio, and HPV vaccines, as far as I understand.

Well, if history tells us anything, probably a period of profound in social instability, perhaps even another civil war, and a partitioning of the country's territory into smaller, more socially cohesive states. The clear ones would be the coasts, and probably Hawaii. Alaska may revert to Russia.

I would say the opposite. Way, way more people lived in what is now Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, etc, during the Spanish conquest. Populations were equally decimated, their cultures burned and destroyed, cities razed, but most deaths were from disease, so perhaps not "intentional" genocide.

I only played up to season 2 of these games. At the end I was just thinking "I am willingly making myself make all these awful choices, being sad and crying". I just couldn't do it anymore.

Years later I would binge watch This is Us. I did not learn the lesson.

Thank you for this word. I'm totally this. I cherish my alone time, but I'm pretty easy going in social settings.
