Since your friend doesn’t have a magic Time Machine, perhaps they suggest revising this to a draft. Then present to the entire congregation w/ the disclosure that it is AI generated. Then w/ feedback from the congregation over time review again at the next vestry/bc meeting…or3.

Agree. Useful for preliminary work, which makes for less time on the ground (making it accessible for more). And there’s no substitute for the Holy Spirit’s presence when we’re in the room together.

I think that if there is a gift that came from the pandemic, it is that we were forced be creative about how we gather for everything. We learned to embrace technologies that allow us to honour our polity while also being more efficient with resources, inviting more folks to the table.

This is all so spot on! I’ve also found it spiritually…shortsighted…that we expect so much free labour in the Church. It’s an immature & outdated model.
