A German word for being embarrassed by the actions of someone else is Fremdscham, or “foreign shame.” A similar word from Icelandic is aulahrollur, which is quite tricky to translate but basically means something along the lines of “cringe quake” or “douchebag chills”

People say 30-somethings are all supposed to be asleep by midnight tonight but I was like "yeah absolutely not" and I'm chillin' with my drunk self, having a good time. Hope everyone else is doing well out there, I really do. I wish I could share some of the warmth I'm feeling right now with you.

It's funny, using one of those follower-mover-over things to migrate from the other place and seeing people you follow who haven't bothered to unfollow the fake/bot accounts (because when you visit their page it shows who is following them).

I get a lot of bots following me on here, some of them better at hiding it than others. It's easy enough to block them, but I often worry about the risk of accidentally blocking a real person who was just being friendly.
