Just saw an article in the Seattle Times that Redmond has turned off its Flock cameras out of concern that ICE is monitoring them. Which could explain why those cameras are in Lowe's and Home Depot's parking lots.

I wonder who put the cameras there.

Effectively two locations, both seem to be mostly retail parking lots near Home Depot and Lowe's. So I'm thinking not put in place by City of Bham.

I confess, I wouldn't mind a few photoradar units in the city.

So sorry to hear about your mother's passing. May your sorrow be comforted with joyous memories. ❤️

Have my US bookstore on the hunt for it. Do you have an ISBN to make sure they're getting the right copy? (Hoping to get it before Christmas.)

Remember when the first thing you did after starting up a clean install of Windows was to install Chrome?

These days, if a site gives my Firefox problems, I'm using MS Edge. (Which is so seldom, I had to check what they called it.)

Wonderful! I only know you from Bsky (and books on the TBR pile), but have been delighted to follow your many, different adventures. Inspiring. Someone I'd love to meet and share stories with (some overlap in our lives). Who knows! Stranger things have happened.

So many microbreweries, so little time! Not entirely convinced I haven't died and gone to heaven.

@elizabethboyle.bsky.social liked this post. Although I doubt she knows that she's on the ballot for Bellingham City Council.

(This was a few years ago, but we voted last night in the current election.)

May your next trip around the sun be filled with joy and hope (and lots of great words).

I've retyped the whole novel once, and several chapters more than once. Not only does the process keep me honing better senses, it ensures I'm really immersed in the story to better understand plot-level and description-level things that need attention.

If you're looking for volunteers, can I throw my hat in the ring? My husband calls me "Tweety" (after the Warner Bros. cartoon). 🐥

I've never been one to journal, but Westenberg's article is tempting me to start. These days, it's really hard to make sense of the world. A little time putting thoughts into words might very well help.

I've long believed writers should work on their project at least a few minutes every day. (Work being more than just writing). It keeps the ideas simmering on the back burner, and it's amazing how some new and interesting idea pops up out of the blue.

On my Pixel 9, it's round (but all the icons are round). Don't see any marshmallow effects, but it's small.

Android Play Store says there's a new icon, but still a white butterfly on a blue circle. Don't see any other differences.
