Creatives often leave studios BECAUSE they’re too big due to bureaucracy and studio politics. Off the top of my head, Ken Levine left with 2 other leads after developing thief to found Irrational Games. Hideo Kojima left Konami to found KojiPro. Gabe Newell founded Valve after leaving f’ing MS lol.
