It's not just about identifying the most capable students. Ask any college prof and they will tell you there are people getting admitted now who cannot read. The admissions process can no longer identify them.
I know one, admitted to a dozen colleges, reads at a first-grade level.

Protected against some forms of discrimination. I don't think any class of people is especially protected when it comes to having their social media posts screenshotted, especially when those screenshots raise the question of who is harassing whom.
