Once flipped inside out it was then pinned on to the sleeve section positive to positive. I would then use a basting stitch to help keep the fabric in place because it like to slip and slide to an obnoxious degree without it. Even if you pinned it like hell 😅

For the flares I cut out a circle by using the width of each sleeve to calculate the size of each circle. I can talk about that more if there’s interest! Once cut you have a little donut shape that you cut a line in. You stitch together the positive side then flip inside out

That left us with this! Which once attached looked almost exactly like what I was going for! I wanna chat about the flares for a second because they were a incredibly fun but also frustrating process!

For the 2nd pattern/prototype I made a much wider sleeve that added some length as well! Here is where I also learned how to add the circles that flare out! Honestly I did not expect this second prototype to go so well and was very pleasantly surprised that it did!

The sleeves were the most difficult part of this whole project. My first pattern/prototype was purely to see what shape I needed to make them! The shape was mostly right just needed to be longer and floofier!
