Good morning and Happy Monday to everyone who agrees that ANYONE who can't easily admit that Russia invaded Ukraine is a Putin bootlicker, a Russian stooge, and a moronic fucking asshole.

Russia invaded Ukraine, folks. PERIOD.

However much contempt you have for Lutnick is too little. The U.S. and Russia conned Ukraine out of its self-defense capabilities in the 90s; then Russia took Crimea in '14 and we did nothing; then Putin violated a 2019 ceasefire; now Ukraine faces genocide. Still Zelensky has thanked us 100+ times.
Lutnick on Zelenskyy: "You gotta say, 'We love America, We appreciate America' ... Instead he said, 'I want $300b in reparations from Russia. I want them off my land. I want all the land.' Really! All the land ... it's just way too far. That's not a peacemaker. That's a troublemaker."

I wish more folks had read Proof of Corruption (2020). It offers a full history of the relationship between Trump and Ukraine going back years. Trump has hated Ukraine since the 2000s—and beyond the events that led to his first impeachment also illegally withheld the Javelins he loves to talk about.
Trump to hold Ukraine meeting on next steps including possible aid freeze
The meeting will take place Monday afternoon at the White House.

This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell.

This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

As to Donald Trump’s foreign policy, this is it. This is the shibboleth. If you understand where the Trump Doctrine comes from, you understand exactly what is happening right now and why.

Every American should read this, and so should every European diplomat. From a bestselling Trump biographer:
The Birth of the Trump Doctrine Lies in the 1987 Recruitment of Donald Trump By the KGB During His Trip to Moscow That Year
How Trump responded to his recruitment remains unclear. What is clear, however, is that it shaped his entrance into politics and his foreign policy in a way the world now ignores at its peril.
