Very disturbed that @nbcnews.com and @abcnewsgo.bsky.social didn’t cover the protests today. Thousands of people at the US Capitol and rolling protests in all 50 states. It’s all over social media but nary a peep on mainstream national news. The free press needs to act like it while they still can.

Watching the Trump press conference on my lunch break. It started appropriately: moment of silence and statement that when things like this happen our differences fade and we mourn together as one. And then the wheels fell off. It’s been increasingly unhinged and asinine for a half hour now. Sigh.

My heart goes out to all those connected to tonight’s #planecrash. Ending up in the Potomac is an ever-present fear every time I fly into DCA. So terribly sad to see it actually happen.

It is delightfully warm today. My twins are off school for end of quarter, and my son bounced out the door to have lunch w friends. Trans joy is a radical act.

This caused chaos in schools across the country today, but especially in Chicagoland. My heart goes out to scared kids. My thanks to the warrior teachers helping undocumented parents find alternate people to get their kiddos to and from school. No words suffice for the depth of my anger.
