@bravesandbirds.bsky.social and I have had many conversations about ROTJ. It has more than it's fair share of flaws. The space battles are great, and the assault on the shield generator heats up perfectly. But the entire Luke thread is fire.

I am all for women in power/bad ass women/etc. This is underrated but in my childhood Leia and Marion in Raiders ended up kicking all sorts of ass in their own ways. That left an impression on me. I think we can better use women in powerful positions than to act as a pointless scold, or

Also, Poe doesn't appear to take anything from that lesson going forward. This is a script problem, and it's not like Johnson was in control of the script for the next movie. But then why was is Poe's sole purpose in the script of this movie to Learn An Important Lesson(tm)?

As someone in the middle of a pretty awful job search myself, Linked in has been the least useful tool. I've seen someone who used to work there talking about how they think easy apply is what ruined it. But man, that place has much bigger issues.

Yes in Civ I Pyramids unlocked all governments and also allows governent change without anarchy. Changed in later versions.

If you train up to Expert weapon proficiency rank in thrown sandwiches, you can throw a full sandwich at double that range. At Master, it's triple, and the various sandwich accoutrements/toppings will stay in place. At Grandmaster, the sandwich returns to you.
