Both are Oregon iris. The dark purple is growing in my front yard, under a tree and the pale one is growing in my backyard, under a tree. Both bloomed today. Makes me curious to know about their soil differences. #pnwnatives #oregoniris

Does anyone else count the trillium blooming on their adventures? Yesterday’s count was 79.

We need more Cory Booker. He can’t be the only one willing to make his voice heard. Who’s next?

It was so pretty the first time, I had to go back. Columbia River Gorge, Washington side. #pnw #wildflowers

Car knitting is not the same as home knitting. For one, you risk getting car sick if you have to pay attention to your work while car knitting. This was all I could do with two hours in the car today without the side effects. 🧶

My daughter will be at the Stand Up for Science March at the state capital today so I thought I would share a few of her signs from today and past marches. So proud of her and everyone showing up today and taking a stand. Science matter! #standupforscience

The Washington side blooms before the Oregon side. And the views facing Mt. Hood are so good.

Red flowering current might be my favorite native in my backyard. Especially when the hummingbirds show up for it. Not yet, but soon.

I had to put a short pause on my knitting to finish up a request from the first born. This is slipper one of her second pair, apparently she loved the first pair so much they are worn through. Open Heart Slippers by Ainur Berkimbayeva and published in Making Stories. 🧶

My cute new socks are finished. I can’t believe how much faster it seemed to go when I was following a charted pattern vs a basic stockinette stitch sock. I really adore these and plan to make another pair asap.

Finally found a great use for some old hand painted papers.

Working on a test knit for @aliciaplum.bsky.social. I’m using wool & palette fingering yarn in elm (dyed using black walnuts). The pattern is so engaging and easy to remember. I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
