Democrats sure are good at attacking their own. Maybe if Democrats were better at messaging, they could have turned this into a political win. They brought attention to the lapse in ACA subsidies and showed that Republicans could care less about layoffs, SNAP, and rising healthcare premiums.

And shouldn’t air traffic controllers be getting signing bonuses since we are short staffed and in need of help!

I’m sure Trump will pardon any DHS or ICE agent that acts illegally. That is one reason this administration is so dangerous. It’s not just Trump that can break the law, but anyone in his orbit.

Who are the people working for ICE? Are they vetted, trained, and accountable? Or are they simply proud boys and want to be cops from the community that want to terrorize minorities?

This is insane! The way people are being treated in this country is appalling. Let’s just assume these people had over stayed a visa, or we’re here illegally, does that warrant 20 armed men barging into their house in the middle of the night?

I hate the country we have become. We voted for this. I used to think we were the good guys. No longer. 🙁

I wonder if the GOP senators are having a little buyers remorse with these cabinet appointments. At least we know who to blame for the fall of our nation. They could have refused to confirm Hegseth and Patel before they turned our justice department and FBI into Trump’s henchmen.

This just illustrates what my husband has been saying for years, people are stupid. There is no excuse for this degree of ignorance or lack of common sense. I know there is misinformation out there, but this reflects willful stupidity. Being educated in the US is now out of style.

Every woman or minority is automatically assumed to be unqualified because in their mind, there are no qualified minorities. It would take 1 min to review folks experience and qualifications, but it's much easier to scream DEI!! Do they realize how bigoted they are?

I would prefer DEI not be associated with being unqualified. Isn't that what you are implying here? Calling him a DEI hire? Why not just say he was picked because he is a Trump loyalist and despite being unqualified?

I'm a 54 yr old woman who is a casual watcher of football who was yelling at the TV, "what are they doing? Call the time out!" . Horrible ending.
