Hi, I am Catherine. I am a blind photographer. I use adaptive technology to allow me to see to take amazing photos. I'm currently in college for a commercial photography degree and absolutely enjoying taking photos again after I lost most of my vision.
finally achieved the look I was after.

The end result was worth every bit of effort: a powerful shot of Ken charging forward with his video camera, as if he were running straight into the action. What we created felt less like a photo shoot and more like a cinematic moment frozen in time.

It wasn’t the safest setup. I had my assistant carefully guide me, letting me know when it was clear to test fire the lights over and over until we had the perfect angle. I even counted each of my steps so I wouldn’t risk falling during the process. After all of that precision and patience, we………

a dramatic contrast.

The real star of the scene was the old train track bridge. Its weathered steel, covered in layers of graffiti, had a gritty character that begged to be photographed. But to make it come alive, I needed to create my own artificial sunlight. That’s where the strobes came in……….
