Great news, looking forward to it

A fantastic initiative. Macron does seem more in touch with the real world. I’m a father and keep my kids as much as possible off social media, but I see the impact on my kid’s friends. My daughter came home early last night from a party because all her friends were just on social media.

Exactly, indoctrination. It’s the same reason that cigarettes (vapes), the processed food industry and religions target children, it’s the next round of consumers for their products.

One other thing that might not have been mentioned here is to encourage Tesla drivers to dump their subscription plans.

I’m a Tesla owner, but I can’t get rid of my car. Instead I dropped the subscription. This may be useful as it’s a high margin revenue stream

.. and instead of making huge amounts of money on service exports and innovations, they’ll be making 4 I❤️NY for $10.

Yes, great point. The food exports from the US are suspected to be causing the obesity epidemic. I’m in Canada and have to buy direct from the farm just to get meat that’s not force feed sweet corn in a CAFO. But also coke and oreos, twinkies, aspartame, HFCS…

I think it's time for Europe to take the $300B Russian money they're holding and spend it on the Ukraine

The French should request the return of this statue....

Stop apologizing and do something about it. He's your leader whether you voted for him or not.

What's the tipping point here? You can complain, but when will you stand up and stop this? When he come's for your freedom of speech, your lifestyle choices, your right to vote and protest? He's your leader, do something about this.

I wonder what prompted that kind of statement from him

Thousands of Canadians sign petition to revoke Musk's citizenship
The petition accuses Musk of acting against Canada's national interest and undermining its sovereignty, but has no legal force.

This needs to be soundly and loudly rejected by all democratic nations throughout the world.

Even Trump supporters can’t be in favor of allowing conquest by force of arms. And I feel equally sorry for the poor Russian population who are subjugated by their mad leaders.

Also, given the hand that Russia and China likely had in this, they too may have already bet in this direction.

I like this theory. He could easily make trillions by shorting the economy then doing things to cause it to fail. It's much simpler and less work than trying to build up the economy.

Will Musk (followed closely by Trump) be the worlds first trillionaire? Maybe even the first multi-trillionaire.

I also see the government debating adding tariffs to Tesla. Something that could hit even harder is to force the Tesla charging network to be an open network, like what was done with the telcos. You cannot have a private charging network. Then regulate the price per-KW:-)

I agree with so much here, the sentiments are great.

I have a concern for our poor neighbors in the US though. This may just be a distraction, sleight of hand so you don’t see what Musk is up to behind the scenes.

I followed the link (I was curious when you pointed it out). Somehow the copy in Bluesky is messed up, on the Nature page it’s 13.9%

Yes, the knowledge Amazon have is scary. They know where I live, who my relatives are, who I bank with, how many kids I have and their ages, what cars I have and most of my interests and my kids interests. And I don’t even use Alexa

Not just privacy anymore. In the book surveillance capitalism (www.amazon.com/Age-Surveill...) the author (a Harvard professor) has a frightening line “they’ve (the big tech companies) gone from automating workflows about us, to automating us”
