If you're tired of seeing a California that loses, urge @gavinnewsom.bsky.social to do the right thing and sign SB 79. He and his staff listen to what you say on here, so tell him why you're sick of our state's housing policy being a gift-in-kind to the GOP. Make sure you tag him as well.

If you live in California, take 5 minutes out of your day to leave a message with the Governor's Office. Tell @gavinnewsom.bsky.social that California needs to fight homelessness, stop our state's population decline and arrest climate change caused by super-commuters. All he has to do is sign SB 79.
Please call the Governor and ask him to sign SB 79!

SB 79 proposes a common sense fix: within a half mile of the busiest transit hubs (rail and BRT) in the state, cities should allow midrise, mixed-income multifamily housing. Based on the transit and proximity, buildings could be five to seven stories — Paris-scale midrise.

You: "I'm a California voter and I'm calling to encourage the governor to sign SB 79."

Staffer: "Ok, I've registered your support, thanks."

If you're a CA voter and you think it should be legal to build homes near mass transit, call today.

newsom even considering vetoing SB 79 is deeply embarrassing. he's so unserious
@gavinnewsom.bsky.social wants to be our next president. If he vetoes SB79 to placate Los Angeles segregationists and their no-juice, zero-future mayor @karenbassla.bsky.social, he may get a fundraising bump. But he will then carry the stink of the man who failed CA on its most important issue.
A bunch of toxic LA NIMBYs are whining about SB 79, the amazing housing bill the CA legislature passed recently.

It's on the governor's desk, and reportedly he's getting cold feet. Hey @gavinnewsom.bsky.social, please have some spine on the most important issue in your state. Just sign it.
