If it was a zebra crossing they'd changed I'd be inclined to say it was wrong to change it like that. The colours and layout may cause problems for visually impaired people, and those driving not being able to quickly know it was a zebra crossing.

That doesn't look like a zebra crossing, surely they'd be Belisha beacons rather than the normal pedestrian crossing buttons on each side.
