Pocklington Town Council has announced the official lease signing for Burnby Hall. The new facility includes a large main hall available for public hire, along with office spaces and meeting rooms for community and civic use. A long-awaited town museum is now closer.

We forget the reason why settlements on the edge of the Wolds like Pocklington have 10,000 years of occupation. When ice sheets melted following the Ice Age, the sea levels rose. York was under water as part of lake Humber and Pocklington & Market Weighton were on the lake edge.
