As promised.

The top sample is from an unground medium nib inked with the best brown ink ever.

The bottom's from the medium nib I ground myself, inked with the lovely purple Iris ink from Tom's Studio.

I think it still needs a little more work – it's not quite as comfy to write with as I'd like

The sample's a rich purple colour. The pad is in a leather pad holder, with a capped Parker Steel 25 held in a pen loop on the right hand side.

There's at least a couple more versions, but they're a bugger to search for (even if they've been recorded). One of the tunes rejoices in the name "Little Bilberry"

And of *course* I forgot to photograph the finished roast. Here it is just after its 45 minutes in a steamy atmosphere.
A lump of Mangalitza belly pork early in its cooking time. There's definitely more fat than meat in view, but by the time it finishes cooking, much of that will have rendered out leaving lovely tender meat and epic crackling.

@skeetsapp.com I'm loving feed refresh that remembers where I am, but I live in split screen mode and the nav bar there is insane. Both my "following" and "notifications" feeds are away over yonder behind more - apparently I'm more likely to use a pro only feature than to read my main feed.
The Skeets app split screen navbar. Options are: Profile Search Messages Bookmarks More Note the absence of 'Following' and 'Notifications' which live behind "More", despite being the two options I (and I suggest, everyone else) uses most often.

The stupidest photo I ever took? Easy!

Because of course a 24mm GR1s is the perfect camera to use for motorsport. And lying down at the apex of the hairpin to get the shot, during a race, is perfectly sensible behaviour.

I don't think the GR1s counts as a #ShittyCamera, the glass is far too good.

Have you done much large format work? Believe me, the satisfaction of getting the movements sorted, then using rear focus to place the plane of sharp focus just right is damned near orgasmic.

New month, new social media platform yay me!

It took a while to work out how to post from the website though. It turns out that, if you view bsky.app on an ipad in split screen mode, the 'post' button's invisible.

And I'm only using the site because the app doesn't work in split screen mode at all
