Thank you @allymalinenko.bsky.social ! I finally got my hands on Broken Dolls. It was deliciously spooky, but so much more than I expected. Kiddos can expect to shiver, but it also gives them some healthy ways to look at grief/ death, mental illness and being LGBTQ+. 5 stars!

The Halloween Rooster is visiting our urban library parking lot! To be fair, Tractor Supply Store is being built next door. The rooster does not live with them.

Awww. Ours only lasts two hours a week, but we offer four making activities each week: building, science, sewing, and art. It is very labor intensive to plan and to present. We had 90 kids and caregivers last week. I taught the kids to sew fingerless gloves from fleece. They had a blast!

Hard day being in charge at my library branch. The best part was letting our homeless friends know there were cartons of fresh blackberries in the community fridge. There were also cucumbers, zucchini, greens and lots of tomatoes. Everything was gone by close.

Power went out again the second time in a month due to storms. Anyone have a good recipe for cabbage, peanut butter and beer?

I have finally visited what is now my favorite indie bookstore! If you haven’t been, you must. The selection is exquisite. The customer service and staff reviews are superb. I miss it already!
