Overly simplistic. If you think those 42 million people will be better off with an even more emboldened trumpublican party, you are naive. The trumpublicans took away the food; the inept democratic establishment was incapable of adequately messaging that.

I disagree. The democrats were on a roll with Election Day. Ran the table nationwide. We had momentum. I grew up in a staunchly republican county, and the dems won everything there. People were blaming the trumpublicans and getting more and more fed up. We were already on a winning trajectory.

The earliest any of the 8 turncoats faces a re-election campaign is 2028. This could very well have been orchestrated by Schumer, trying to have his cake and eat it too, hoping that the outrage would dissipate by then. Don't let it.
