Easier to shut it down so the newly elected Democrat, who's vote would be the last one needed to release the files, cannot be sworn in to cast said vote. Also why Mike refused to swear her in. And maybe we'll forget about the files with another distraction.

Valve stem removers. Remove from ICE vehicles while distracted by others. Not as fast as using a knife to flatten tires but also not causing property damage. Just a minor inconvenience to their day.
