In general when people say, “no offense” they’re about to say something offensive. Likewise here you may say “not to take anything away from AZ” because that’s exactly what you’re about to do

Sorry you feel that way dude. Really was a difference of 3 innings, but the dodgers weren’t bad, it’s playoff baseball. Weird things happen.

But that’s really okay. Sports are tough and losing does suck. We want to feel better when we lose so sometimes we say those things, it’s okay, but it was really a series of 3 innings ya? The dodgers played 24 pretty even innings, but the 3 they sucked in cost them the series

My feelings aren’t hurt, I just think saying “the dodgers would have lost to anyone” is meant to take away from what AZ did. You can backtrack and say AZ played great, but the heart of what you’re saying is still inherently trying to denigrate what AZ did

Oh I don’t think that either. I think the bad loser vibe was the any team would have beat the dodgers in these 3 games.

It’s okay to say that AZ played better without the whole bad loser vibe of, you’re not special anyone could have beat us because we were really bad this series.

Saying not to take anything away from AZ and then saying but then again any other team would have beat them is a bit disingenuous. The dodgers had their 2 best players shut down by AZ. This three game iteration of AZ would have beat most teams.
