Spot on, Kym

ODI and 20\20 rules favour batters. Not so Tests, yet bowlers can't find a way to punish hit and giggle players. They have to get more creative. And, yes, Smith's captaincy was terrible.

And yet Minns seems to be some sort of hero.

From The Guardian:
Daniel Aghion, president of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry said: “The ECAJ understands that the firebombing in Melbourne this morning is an isolated incident, and that the Melbourne Jewish community is not at further risk.”
So why the hysteria?
December 25, 2025 at 8:59 PM
Who knows? But it's interesting that The Guardian quotes the peak Jewish lobby group as saying there is no ongoing threat to the safety of Jews in Melb (Naarm) following the attack. Hasn't stopped other media beating it up. As always, time will tell.

Boy, they should be asking for refunds from whatever acting school they've been going to.

She hasn't covered herself in glory of late but, yes, she was highly professional most of the time. Don't bank on her replacement being anything other than a click-bait driven right-wing shill from the Murdoch empire.
December 24, 2025 at 10:02 PM
Too level-headed and logical for Australian polity.
December 22, 2025 at 10:58 PM
Can't think of one "journalist", especially in the Press Gallery, putting that proposition to Ley.
December 22, 2025 at 8:42 PM
Happening daily. Yesterday the target was Wong, who could be rightly criticised on a number of fronts, but the hectoring of her by Sabra Lane was just embarrassing.
December 22, 2025 at 8:30 PM
Unhinged and somewhat dangerous.
December 21, 2025 at 9:12 AM
Day of reflection my arse. Comes across as a political rally.
December 21, 2025 at 9:09 AM
The young bloke who wrote this should not be providing opinion pieces. It fails on so many levels.
December 21, 2025 at 5:31 AM
It's terribly unfair on you, Dave, but you have to keep going. We need you, and Ronni et al, more than ever. Just make sure you look after yourself. There are plenty of us out here, just not quite enough (right now) to shift the dial. We'll get there. We have to.
December 19, 2025 at 5:01 AM
Where the hell would they start?
December 18, 2025 at 10:07 PM
It's genuinely tricky. Everything points to an ASIO\intelligence failure, but to publicly say you have no confidence in such agencies presents a problem. My hope is that Burgess do the right thing ... not likely, sadly.
December 17, 2025 at 8:13 PM
It's alarming that we don't seem to have a single MP who is able to address the issue as well as this.
December 17, 2025 at 9:35 AM
Let's hope so. Just a pity Labor has been so shit when they could have done great things with the political capital they won.
December 17, 2025 at 2:29 AM
Denise wasn't justifying it.
December 16, 2025 at 1:23 AM
Exactly. When challenged on that absurdity, commentators just move on. Landlords sell up, the house goes to another investor or to actual homeowners.
December 14, 2025 at 9:26 AM
Yes, after embarrassing herself (again) over Reynolds and Higgins, her questions regarding Brereton's suitability for the role were good.
December 11, 2025 at 2:08 AM
I will refuse to do an eyesight test until my optometrist changes the chart to TNR. I will not allow optometrists to make my eyes woke.
December 10, 2025 at 8:36 PM
I didn't have to provide anything. Maybe some people are choosing to go down ID rabbit holes. Or maybe I just got lucky.
December 10, 2025 at 4:24 AM
Harped on about two senior judges finding there was no attempted cover up. I reckon a jury might have come to a different conclusion.
