Fair enough, thanks for the reply! Perhaps those frets can also be more convenient because, especially when playing closer to the bridge, the hand naturally moves in the same direction as those frets as one reacher for higher strings...

Very honest question: do the slanted (?) frets make it easier or harder to play? I’ve seen them before in some guitars but never understood what difference they make…
