this scrambled egg, feta, tomato, arugula, bacon on brioche was a regular staple in my life, given it being less than a minute from where i lived. the cold brew hits too.

yellowjacket aside, this was also a winner. salami egg and cheese on a jalapeño corn english muffin 🙌
the above mentioned breakfast sandwich, on foil. a coffee cup is behind it and there’s some kind of wasp inspecting the coffee cup. the sandwich is from vinal bakery in somerville massachusetts.

there are many things i love about living in portland oregon, but one thing i miss about the east coast is the ubiquity of good breakfast sandwiches under 10 bucks.
a sausage egg and cheese with hash brown on a Portuguese bun from archie’s ny deli. a george howell cold brew sits to the right of the sandwich on a wax paper wrapper. there are a couple empty chairs in the background.

did not think this was from the late 90s! it's good.
a stamp from djibouti, with "république de djiboiti" in french lettering and arabic script at the top. it's got an earth with a face on it (over the atlantic and west coast of africa) featuring a hand on its side holding a cell phone staring down at a computer terminal. it's for "world telecom day" (journée mondiale des télécom)

always an adventure looking through my spam folder since i have a gmail account that people just use for shit
a variety of emails with "President Trump" or "TEST FROM TRUMP" or "POTUS - Donald J. Trump" as the sender. Subjects include "RE: Q2 Recap (High Importance)" "if I say PLEASE, will you at least answer question #1" a survey with random identifier, "Don't leave me in the dark," "Before my FEC-mandated deadline as President, can you please..," "Please delete this immediately after reading!" and "Please confirm receipt of this email" "Testing" and another FEC one.

furrykid technology co ltd’s “sofabaton x1s” has some good Software though (derogatory)
UI for setting up a macro button for a universal remote. the UI has “(null (null))” three times on the screen. there’s a loading indicator in the bottom center.

there are good trees in portland
it’s dusk - almost 9pm. a tree has an LED streetlight behind it, illuminating the street and the houses across from it, but casting a shadow of the tree towards the photographer.

cheesy spicy black beans are a still a great dinner option in these trying times
a 10" cast iron skillet filled with beans topped with cheddar. it just came out of the broiler so it's sizzlin'. it's on a black stove, with a pan to the right and some tools behind it.

if your left hand ever gets this big, one job opportunity you could have is to stop some packages from being loaded on to passenger aircraft
an orange sticker on a box that features a plane with a person in an aircraft cargo hold. the person is saying "cargo aircraft only" and a giant hand is off the person. theres a pallet jack with forbidden packages outside the plane. the person's hand is like comically large (that's the joke). the bottom of the sticker says "forbidden in passenger aircraft."
