Is it any better in Foxborough?
January 25, 2026 at 10:51 PM
Yes exactly! I have so much respect for FO and love DVOA. I am extremely surprised to see this kind of a response. Like I get making a mistake and missing something in the original chart. But it seems like an utter disinterest in correction/added context? At least on the part of Mike

I work with statistics every day. Presentation and context are equally, if not more, important than the stats themselves. People DO NOT put the time into investigating little nuances, especially when they come from a trusted source.

I don’t know man, I think 9/10 people look at that and don’t think twice about it not accounting for games played and assume it is showing that, per dropback faced, Garrett has been the most efficient. It’s been quoted and passed around online as “evidence” of exactly that.
January 5, 2026 at 1:14 AM
Yes, I obviously am particularly interested in this specific instance due to my fandom. Doesn’t make it any less misleading.
January 5, 2026 at 12:30 AM
You’re right that it isn’t technically inaccurate. What I said is that it is misleading. I have seen this graphic spread as evidence of Garrett’s unmatched efficiency.
January 5, 2026 at 12:19 AM
This has nothing to do with the sack record really. The original stat was an efficiency stat that doesn’t account for players missing games. It’s like saying Josh Allen had 0 yards on 29 pass attempts today.
January 5, 2026 at 12:14 AM
I couldn’t care less what you think. I do care that people with actual platforms don’t willfully spread misleading data. And even more than that, I want them to CARE about avoiding doing so.
January 5, 2026 at 12:09 AM
I mean those stats (for the current era) are not hard to find.

But my primary gripe is that this is REALLY lazy and fully misleading for what it’s trying to portray (an efficiency stat that ignores when a player is not even suited up), coming from someone trusted in the analytical space.
January 5, 2026 at 12:06 AM
I’m sure you feel like a real big guy, “dunking” on a random fan with no platform. Can you tell me why we shouldn’t expect those with real platforms to present accurate data? I appreciate Aaron posting a clarification. I don’t appreciate you acting like it’s out of hand to ask for it.
January 4, 2026 at 11:59 PM
Yeah? You don’t think that at a time when statistical literacy is at an all time low, people with platforms (specifically ones trusted as a source of analytics) shouldn’t strive to avoid peddling misleading data? An accurate rendering of this data results in a very different result and narrative.
January 4, 2026 at 11:50 PM
Eh, you don’t think it’s important for national voices to try to avoid wildly misleading information? Especially one whose focus is on stats?
January 4, 2026 at 11:28 PM
What is the point then? To show that Garrett is better at getting sacks than a guy on the sideline?
January 4, 2026 at 10:57 PM
Very misleading chart. Includes games that TJ Watt did not play.
January 4, 2026 at 10:55 PM
This is really misleading. The Watt number includes games he did not even suit up for. Not to mention games that he missed partially for injury or the fact that he doesn’t pass rush on every pass attempt.
December 25, 2025 at 6:55 AM
Darnell Washington got called for a less egregious version of that earlier in the game
December 22, 2025 at 1:01 AM
The first timeout was at least before the first down
November 16, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Defense is built to get sacks and force turnovers. No sacks today and no turnovers in 3 games. Communication issues ongoing for 5 years. A complete joke.
October 27, 2025 at 3:30 AM
That’s what you get with a guy in the HOF for being the least important part of a double play combination.
October 21, 2025 at 3:14 AM
What is this in reference to? The seumalo allowed sack? The freiermuth block?
September 28, 2025 at 2:45 PM
PWHL just recently implemented it. Sean McIndoe has been a proponent of this for years so it was so cool to see a pro league finally go for it!

For more non-bbq/HC restaurants, Rolf and Daughters, City House, Pastaria, Urban Grub are some of our favorites. Lots of great spots in Nashville, super underrated food city
April 14, 2025 at 1:28 PM
Midtown Bars >> Broadway imo. Red Door, winners, losers, broadway brew are all cool
April 14, 2025 at 1:24 PM
For BBQ, depends on what you like. Peg Leg Porker has the best pulled pork, Edleys the best smoked chicken wings, Shotgun Willie’s the best brisket, and Jack’s the best all around. Martins CAN be good, but super hit and miss.

Party Fowl is my favorite hot chicken, but Princes is the OG and great

Would be interested in looking at the first half of the season versus the second. Started the season strong, but seemed to turn back into a pumpkin in the latter half.
