It’s also cheaper to have pets put down instead of paying kennel/cattery fees when going off on your travels. You can use some of the money saved to buy a cute puppy or kitten on your return.

Got some grow your own mushrooms for Father’s Day.
Unusual varieties, fun to grow and eat are consumable (stops producing after a few crops) but low yield so work out to be quite pricey.
Socks are always a winner these days.

A large jug in the microwave will have a couple of litres boiled in a jiffy.
Bung the tea bags and milk in before microing it and tea will be ready as soon as it goes ‘ping’
