If he didn't care he wouldn't have asked Trump to do a White House (illegal) Telsa promotion or held an all-hands Tesla meeting and implored Tesla employees to not sell their stock. He also won't be able to as readily fund Trump or other candidates (worldwide), as his TSLA stock crashes.
