Jan 3d, so it's just fitting to post another three photos (I know, not funny). These are also part of the early start of the photographic year. Made during a walk in the vicinity of where we live. Got a few more to postprocess, and hopefully many more to capture.

I think it's a good thing to start the photographic year on the first day. Might not be a strong start, but a start nevertheless. So when I did walk with Mira the Eurasian today, I of course brought my camera.

December has been, well, like December usually is here in Bergen, Norway - gray and dark. Yesterday provided a hope of a glimpse of light. So I headed to a couple of vantage points as the sun was about to set. And got lucky 😊.

Thought I'd share this image. Nothing spectacular, not even particularly good, maybe a decent shot. Just a detail from one of the ponds in vicinity of where I live. But I liked the light and the composition. Probably leaves a lot to be desired, but here you go anyway 😊

Couldn't decide which version I preferred. So here's both. Skoersnoese is a mountain I've visited many times. Photo was made a couple of weeks back, and during these December days when days are literally dark all day, it brightens up the day a bit to have such photos and memories to look back at.

Sunset. The faint glow behind the old three as the sun sets provided an opportunity not to be missed. The culmination of an otherwise quite ordinary walk around the neighbourhood so to speak.

Foggy day. We don't get fog that often here in Bergen, Norway. We're more into the relentless rain. But every now and then conditions are favourable. Then you just might get lucky with the light as well.

Illustrating my December mood. Even if photos were made in November. So far December had been mostly gray and rainy. Frantiqually playing Christmas songs on the radio and eating Christmas cookies haven't done much for the mood. Think I need to go to the mountains for some snow and cold weather.

Autumn. Depending on where you reside in the world, it's autumn or some other season. In Western Norway we're leaving autumn behind and heading into winter now. So (maybe) one last photo from this autumn.

Tomorrow is the first Sunday of advent. So today is the first Saturday of advent... obviously... So why not share a couple of street photos displaying the advent mood in and around our local shopping mall Lagunen (the Lagoon). What a lagoon has to do with shopping I have no idea.

A small series I made during a recent photowalk in the vicinity of where live. They might give the impression of somewhere a bit remote and far from more urban areas, but in truth that's just down to composition and paying attention to the surroundings so as not to include manmade objects.

Monday morning here in Bergen, Norwayland. Why not start the day with a photo of a bracket fungus. Nothing special really, just something that caught my eye whilst out wandering in our local woods. Thought it worth a photo. Have a good Monday everyone 🙂.

A collection of waterfall photos I made during a combined photowalk and dog walk in our local Kanadaskogen - "the Canadian Forrest" - a week ago. Name so I believe by some boys many many years ago, playing in said forrest and pregending to be in - yes, you're correct, in Canada.

I tend to forget my options when out making photos. But yesterday I did remember. Never mind bad light, ICM is an option. So I made these four photos utilizing the ICM technique.

Been itching to get out for some photography. But November in Western Norway can be a challenge photographywise. To me at least. So the last two days (weekend) I forced myself out there and made some pictures. Here's one I came away with. I think there are more to come.

A bit of architecture in Alcúdia, Mallorca. The harsh daylight and the white structure with its distinct shape made for a nice black and white photo I think.

A couple more shots of the sunrise at Alcúdia, Mallorca a couple of weeks back. Must admit I'm a bit of a sucker for sunrises, even if they're easy targets in a way. But hey, they're there to be photographed, right?
