This passage illustrates one of the opportunities of this kind of translation ("The Mad Tea-Party" has become "The Mad Beer-Party") and one of the difficulties (there were no watches in pre-Conquest England). What can I say? It's all in fun.

The book not only translates a classic text into an ancient variety of English, but also transports the story (as far as possible) back to pre-Conquest England. I'll attach images of a few sample pages.
