You are assuming that there would be fair future elections in the US. Project 2025 has been more than half implemented with minimal pushback. Fair and full elections are up next on the docket.

But there are 40+ million Americans who are fully on board with “They need us more than we need them” rhetoric. Also the “Why wouldn’t Canadians want to be the 51st state” rhetoric which is starting to rear its ugly head again. If I saw Hoekstra in the street, he might get jerseyed and fed a few.
