The bigger problem highlighted by this article is the insane reliance people have on Corps to publish content to the web. Get an old laptop and buy and ip then start selfhosting your ICE watch sites. If the gov wants to get FCC involved fight it all the way

They cant support ice or police, they have the same LE power as a civilian. They cant draw their guns or arrest anyone. Ive seen them “assist” with some night arrests by shining a light. But they just walk around downtown and the train stations. They don’t come where crime is The fbi and dea do that

No, the military presence in the capital is a distraction from the occupation of the country and the presence of ICE. The NG is an empty threat who cant do anything off federal land.

Protesting is giving cops a free excuse to harass you. For the 4th time I DONT think you need to sign up for protests. But i think that the whole point of protesting is showing you are willing to risk your freedom. Arrests are part of civil disobedience otherwise you’re just being obedient.

Im “siding with facists” because I think its bad civil disobedience to be afraid of charges??? You are protesting a facist government, they WILL try to punish you. When i went to hs there were kids who refused to do walk outs for social issues out of fear for their gpa. Thats how you appear to me .

I take it you dont go to protests, cause you could be arrested for it. “Im too afraid to protest because it could cause a legal dispute” and 61 people who got arrested of the street and charged with a rico is not the same as trying to arrest hundreds for being on a mailing list 🙄

Ohhh so you on crazy bullshit. If you afraid of a baseless charge you should live ur entire life in fear of being sued by a random. There is precedent that YOU cited showing it wont lead anywhere, and that there will be a good amount of probono legal aid on the case.

I think people just aren’t exposed to the way people in those types of spaces communicate. It seems like pretty standard “discord mod” or neckbeard talk to me. Overly formal and proper almost as a reaction against other people who are seen as “too casual”

I am not filled with love for the US justice system surely, I just think that we would be beyond even the current lax understanding of the law if prosecutors we’re submitting false evidence for their indictments. But yes, the amount of influence that one retired sheriff had definitely makes this odd

Where are you getting that from, the DOJ will probably prosecute on top of the state case like they did with Luigi. He’s being prosecuted for “Violent offense committed in the presence of a child”, which the DOJ couldn’t push if they wanted to because it’s a state law. Learn how the gov works
