The dialogue is a whole other thing but the bit about "fuck you shoot me I'll die for this shit" and the reaction is the crux here, from Gandhi's time on down, no authoritarian in history ever knows how to respond to this and it's why it beats them whenever deployed

My latest review. I’m mixed on “Sinners” but there are intriguing ideas and moments of awe.
‘Sinners’ is bold, ambitious, and just misses greatness. It’s a horror film that will haunt critic Angelica Jade Bastién just as much as it will keep her wondering who Ryan Coogler wants to be on the other side of ‘Creed’ and ‘Black Panther.’
