Typical annual pay settlements offered by British companies in the three months to April fell slightly, despite a rise in the minimum wage which boosted pay significantly for some lower-paid workers, industry data showed on Monday.

Interesting survey from @payclimate.bsky.social out this morning on how companies are responding to the Budget rise in NICs, which is a key question for the Bank of England.

From this it looks like pay will be a very big channel, with 37% "extremely" likely to cut pay awards, and 32% "moderately" 👇

The voluntary living wage has risen by 5% today (5.3% for workers in London boroughs). Accredited employers have 6 months to implement it.
