My father was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. He taught me to revere the flag as a democratic symbol. My husband is 1/2 Canadian & wasn't raised that way, but this is a big deal to me. I could think of no other way to express my heartbreak at losing of our democracy on #Inauguration Day. 😔 (Sped to post).
