Is the concern safety or someone having insurance? Bumping up the 120kg bike to 45kph puts the energy to ~15,000 Joules

As someone who uses a Tern HSD ecargo bike (28kg) regularly, a reduction to only 25kph would absolutely negatively impact a farther commute (13km) I take and make it not competitive with driving. I absolutely agree that something weighing 120kg should not be in the same category as my bike.

The target speed is 35 for most of the video, with only a brief 60 in there 😭

Waterloo ION uses the white bars if I'm not mistaken, so it's not even like we don't do it in Ontario. Also, along the waterfront we have a white bar!! At Bathurst and Queens Quay
