Because it's an AMD sample, they just make it so the application always prioritises AMD cards by explicitly giving them a higher "score" than Nvidia cards. Usually games give things like discrete GPUs a higher score, so that the game picks the most capable one.

Whoop demo completed on steam deck! This will be so great on the steam deck. Really fun gameplay. Visuals (even though I set them to low) are lovely and now I want our new PC to replay with everything on Epic.

Nice!! Yeah medium works okay as well, and we have some issues with some foliage being the wrong colour on steam deck, but it's such a fun platform to play it on!
