to tell you that you’re beautiful to me.
I can count the minutes,
but the seconds are longer than each minute
because I"m in anticipation.
I hear the hands on the clock strike as a sculptor
chisels at a marble stone,
I celebrate you,
the gift in love,
a permanence in art.
to tell you that you’re beautiful to me.

I was a child once.
It wasn't very long thereafter before I grew up
but too often, I look back & wonder where my childhood went.
The reminders of those days come to me
when I see the children,
random, in my day to day life
living as children do;
they wonder
in......wonderment.
