Andrew Tate has HUGE "angry post-divorce dad" energy, except his divorce was from reality & reality DEFINITELY got awarded everything on the grounds of him being a "massive chinless incel twat."

Man United Women's Geyse on Instagram.
You pair this with the many previous players' comments about how moving away from Marc Skinner's side improved their mental health & this looks really, really bad.

In case you doubted how the focus is only on a few WSL teams for much of the media...the BBC apparently hasn't bothered to note that Crystal Palace have a new manager despite reporting Laura Kaminski had been sacked AND Leif Snerud's appointment.
Imagine them doing this with an EPL side.

I'm starting to think that the people running the English WSL & Championship may, in fact, not be the "massively talented group ideal to take the women's game to the next level" we were promised. Just a hunch

Happy Monday. Why not start your day just as Momiko Tanikawa started for Japan v Colombia in the SheBelieves Cup last night?
THUNDERBASTARD KLAXON, ACTIVATE!

Women's football fandom has a real problem because the same demographic that lose their minds about bodyshaming if it's "popular' stars speaking out are apparently absolutely fine with saying this about Spurs' Ash Neville's hairdo because it's not "accepted" feminine hair.

Bunny Shaw made an iconic stand and response to being racially abused, including referencing one of the most famous sports images of the 20th century.
Lauren James scored a huge goal in the title race.
Chloe Kelly smiled.
Which one leads the sports page?
Ask yourself...how?

Further to my post earlier...Tom Garry once again leading the way.
February 16, 2025 at 7:54 PM
As you'd expect, Tom Garry knew the assignment. Respect.

1968: Tommie Smith. John Carlos.
2025: Bunny Shaw.
Icons.

Me when my Sky Blues are playing really well and forcing themselves into the playoff picture but are managed by Frank Lampard.
February 15, 2025 at 6:04 PM
Call me a cynic, but I bet the president of Liga F isn't talking about "context" if a player from Huelva or Levante does what Mapi Leon did, is she?
Weird that.
February 12, 2025 at 3:43 PM
No Chloe Kelly, so prepare for two weeks of DISCOURSE about Sarina FINALLY leaving out a player who has barely played, rather than the more egregious omission of Grace Fisk.
February 11, 2025 at 12:38 PM
This, by the way, is a World Cup winner, playing for media darlings Barca. It CANNOT get much more high-profile than this.
If women's football is serious about "inclusion" then based on evidence Leon's career needs ending. Leon has released a defence which is...questionable.

Genuinely can't believe I'm writing this, but women's football is now in another situation where it looks like a player was sexually assaulted on video, in-game.
Barca's Mapi Leon is on the right, Espanyol's Daniela Caracas the player touched. Leon also allegedly asked "do you have a dick?"

Did I renew the green eagle wings for the 4th quarter just in case? You bet I did.
February 10, 2025 at 2:38 AM
Also, Superbowl Shadow is green. Of course. Go Birds!

Absolute broadcasting heritage from the BBC coverage of Villa v Spurs tonight.
The timing of the "WANKERRRRS" is absolutely exquisite. Beautifully & professionally dealt with, too.
February 9, 2025 at 6:34 PM
Twitter is a hellsite but occasionally you still get moments of gold, & professional Football Lad & utter pleb Danny Baker going "not a real football fan" & getting wrecked in four words is that.
February 8, 2025 at 8:26 PM
The saddest thing about homo/transphobia still existing in football is a lot of the people trying to push it have actively chosen to become bigots because they think it'll help them be popular. They've looked at making the world more inclusive, & decided 'nah, don't want that'
February 7, 2025 at 2:55 PM
Anyway. Because today is probably about to get messy in woso with the Sam Kerr trial, here is your feel-good Friday periodic reminder that Kerstin Casparij's instagram captions should be permanently preserved as artifacts of WSL heritage. Maybe @shadesofbluenw.com can start a campaign.

Here...reasonable discussion.
The Other Place after writing a tweet about Alan Brazil.
Loving the casual homophobia in Football v Homophobia month. This is the level "nobody cares about women's football" reaches & Brazil, Talksport & his ilk know it.
February 6, 2025 at 8:23 PM
Villa Park will see many great days but apparently it's turning into what might be metalhead heaven, too.
Someone looked into my head & created a gig at Villa Park & jesus...that lineup!
February 5, 2025 at 2:21 PM
LEVANTE BEATING BARCA.
With that & them losing Keira Walsh this has really not been a good week for one of the most arrogant, sheltered fanbases in women's football. Lovely for the rest of us though.
