I set up a new bird feeder area yesterday and these two goldfinches are, so far, the only ones who know about it. They’ve been happily eating all morning, unbothered by the almost 90 red winged blackbirds at the other feeder.

You see the most fascinating things once you stop and look a little closer. 🌿

My map of four years of eBirding definitely shows I need to get out and travel more. At least I have a 1,421 day streak going. #birds #eBird

I used to be terrified of spiders (I was bitten years ago and had a bad reaction). A spider doc in my master naturalist class taught me to appreciate them without fear. Good thing, because otherwise I never would have seen these incredible eyes. (Cardinal jumping spider) 🌿🕷️

We could all use a timeline cleanser right now, so I present to you a cow. Not your usual cleansing pic, but it’ll do.

I love the sunsets here.

Don't really need a timeline cleanser on this site as opposed to the nasty one, but I'm going to post a kitty pic anyway. Photo credit to my wife. Photo subject is my familiar, Pikachu.
