But, point is, I don't know much about the recent generation of artists other than names in headlines that I wasn't usually able to match to songs I couldn't fully escape in public. Seems like BM has done a mostly good job of picking interesting collaborators, both in recording and in touring.

I was pretty up on the goings-on in the music scene until ~1993, but then kind of ignored everything until recently. I think I credit BABYMETAL with reviving my interest. They brought a reminder about what's good in metal. They had energy, without the darkness, an undercurrent of humor, deep craft.
