Ah that’s a shame. Had the pleasure of directing Michael Madsen on a TV show and he was a wonderful man and very collaborative actor with a fantastic CV. He will be missed.

It’s a great loss to film journalism to see Total Film end. I was fortunate to write for the magazine on occasion and this was one of my favourite pitches that ended up becoming a semi-regular feature called Taking Stock. The first was about the “Sleazeball in a suit” character, whom I love.
