Nov. 13, 1981 – Wichita Fire Chief Jim Sparr tells the university it must cut capacity at Levitt Arena by 556 seats to meet safety regulations for the 1982-83 season. Sparr grants WSU a one-year waiver because all 10,666 seats are sold and tickets mailed.
