I shared my thoughts about comments made by Donald #Trump about a possible #FederalTakeover of #DC. Although right now it’s not even a concept of a plan, given his history, we need to take these threats to our local #democracy seriously.

Words cannot express the depth of the anger and sadness in Washington DC today as we mourn Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky. They were murdered yesterday in an Anti-Semitic attack, outside the Small Capital Jewish Museum. May their memories be a blessing.

I’m deeply saddened by the passing of John Ray, former DC Council member at Large and my old Boss. John Ray was a gifted lawyer and legislator who was instrumental in helping me choose both the law and public service as a career. May his memory be a blessing to our community.
