I know it’s the ‘lol, you can play as the car’ game, but being a kid raised on Virtua Fighter and Fighting Vipers, having the two sets of characters and fighting styles clash together was amazing.

Burning Rangers for Saturn. There’s a ton more that could be done with this and it’s almost procedural generated levels. Give it full 3D camera support and a co-op mode as well.

I’d love to see something. I’m feeling the pull of NiGHTS with the 30th anniversary coming up. This feels like great timing but only if it speaks to you and you feel like you want to do it.

I was all in on the HDTV hype when the 360 came out, and ended up getting a bargain on a low latency 720p display model. It worked great with the shiny new Xbox but it made my retro consoles look worse than they did on the CRT I’d foolishly dumped. I only realised why years later.

I was a SEGA obsessed 13 year old in ‘98. I got my Saturn two years earlier with NiGHTS which I loved, so buying Burning Rangers was inevitable for me. I was on a first name basis with my local game shop due to calling and asking after it so often. I got it day one for £50 and still have it now.

This was one of two games I ever owned for the Master System. I don’t think I ever made it past the 3rd level, but I was 6 at the time 🤣

I’ve been a fan for years while I’m selfishly sad to hear your not going to be on Blood God as often, I’m simultaneously happy you’re taking a bold step, and that the pod will be in the safest hands.

Metal Virus Sonic has only just become available at Smyths in the UK, so it could be literally years before Tangle shows up!

I’d be happy never buying another Microsoft console again. I was looking for a ‘gaming pc’ in the next few years but I’ve no appetite for one now. It’s not a perfect solution, and I’m sure I’ll miss some stuff, but I’m happy with my niches and playing what I like, rather than chasing blockbusters.

The recent Microsoft layoffs, the sheer number of game layoffs in general, the state of games media, AI and global economics all paint a pretty catastrophic picture of the games industry right now and some sort of crash is imminent.
