That anyone would read anything other that as the reason an unfit crook was returned to office means they have an agenda and choose to ignore reality.

This is hopeful, and appeals to a common bond of rationality.

Yes, Okinawa persuaded most everyone that the Bomb would save not just American but Japanese lives. x.com/grok/status/...

To avoid confusion (as well as arguments about communism and socialism) I use the term "rent regulation."

Good thing you guys don't run record companies. I mean, sure it's pop, but pop sells.
My indelible memory of this song is it playing on my portable radio as I Iay on the beach at Misquamicut in 1978. A lovely day (except that I got pretty badly sun-burned!)

Instigator of what?

I mean, it’s downright disgusting that song doesn’t get the love it deserves!

You’re making me think of ‘Undercover of the night’ which is a tour de force. A couple more I love:
from BaB, Memory Motel is simply perfection; and from Some Girls, Faraway Eyes is so wonderfully arranged with the spoken parts set off against the iconic, classic C&W chorus.

When she pulled Lander out of jail (like a boss) her cred went up exponentially.

Someone needs to address the underlying issue of affordability re: Mamdani's campaign:
His rent "freeze" only applies to regulated/stabilized apartments, but the vast majority of his young supporters are in market rate leases. Is there evidence these voters are informed and aware of this?

Can't believe it's taken so long but this was ALWAYS where this was all headed ever since Bakke in '78.

Very, very...

As a licensed practicing architect, I will never miss an opportunity to point out that the one semester architecture school drop-out (for a modelling career) did not get her "genius" visa for any design talent.

Note that Garcia lost in 2021 due to "exhausted ballots" and Wiley voters could have won it for her. Please point out the peril of not filling out all five choices.

quiet is huge for me.

Unfortunately, Adams's ineffectiveness has given Cuomo a "tough on crime" opening. Mamdani has not won the Jewish vote, and Lander hasn't consolidated. It's a mess and I lament we did not elect Garcia 4 years ago. Adams's idiocy and incompetency were clear to anyone who bothered to look.

If canned, the chances are too good that Trump will find someone worse.

Bloomberg is the guy Elizabeth Warren stood next to on a presidential debate stage in 2020, and reminded us all had a history of workplace sexual harassment claims against him. Of course Cuomo is his guy.

I never fail to remind folks how much GW has to thank Trump for sparing him from being the worst president of the past 100 years. But no argument- they did give us the worst two!
June 3, 2025 at 1:47 PM
so this guy's argument is: 'hey you "rich" coasters pay off the national debt for us rural staters.'

That’s horrendous behavior and should be addressed by all parties involved. In any event, MS is the one who “broke” the Hillary Clinton private email story in March 2015 for those keeping score.

Wasn’t that (now senator) Rick Scott?

When by chance I once met John Starks, I didn’t hesitate to tell him that my dad, who was at Holy Cross with Bob Cousy, was merciless in his insistence that “if you can’t make 10 of 10 from the foul line you stink.” Starks responded, shaking his head in disagreement: “wow your dad was harsh.”

Well, since he has zero abilities, he’s half way to overcoming this pesky inconvenience.
